Classroom support personnel provide on demand assistance with all classroom Audio/Visual equipment. We help guest presenters, faculty and students get connected to our state-of-the-art classroom facilities.
We stay very busy helping in the classrooms with over 600 MBA students and scores of Executives from all over the world needing support. We also support special events like First Coffee announcements, Student club speakers, Special guest speakers and special weekend events.

Classroom Support:
Please contact Brian at least 3 days before you will require assistance with audio visual help for an upcoming classroom presentation.
Video Conference:
Contact Brian at least 5 days before the date of your video conference. We will need to set up a test call before the event itself, so please make sure you have technical contact information for the party you would like to conference with.
Our State-of-the-Art Classrooms
We support 18 classrooms in Darden:
- 14 rooms seating 60 students
- 3 rooms seating 40 students (rooms on the first floor)
- 1 room seating up to 120 students (room 50)
Each of our classrooms is equipped with:
- an LCD Projector and speakers that interface with a VCR, a computer and a laptop hookup station
- a transparency projector
- 3 interchangeable chalk boards
- DVD players (Rooms 180,190, 280 & 290)
- connection to our remote media center, which allows us to feed videotapes that have been brought to us ahead of time directly to the classroom.
- Additional equipment that can be set up for use in Darden includes:
- remote mice (for controlling PowerPoint presentations)
- video cameras
- easels
- mobile LCD projectors
Equipment Checkout
We maintain a first-come first-serve stock of digital cameras, camcorders, audio recorders and other equipment that may be checked out by faculty, students and staff. Check-out periods are generally overnight or over the weekend, though exceptions are made on a case by case basis.
Arrange a Student Event
To arrange a student event at Darden, first contact Marsh Pattie (x2-2940) and then reserve a room. To select a room, consider the availability and the number of people you need to accommodate. Large events should be held in the auditorium.
Taping a Missed Class Session
With advance permission from Marsh Pattie (x2-2940), then from the professor and a classmate to operate equipment on your behalf, it is possible to have recordings of class sessions made. You will need to contact classroom support at least 3 days in advance.
